... Or temple, rather. Once one climbs the 1000 steps to reach Yamadera temple, this is the gate that signifies the victory and marks the entry to the actual temple. There are hundreds of statues before that, but this is the main deal. I really loved all the detail on the wood and the signs that time left on it!
