Urban and City
Itsukushima, also known as Miyajima, has been the single most beautiful place I have seen to date. Sitting just off the coast to Hiroshima, the place is an absolute tourist attraction - granted - but once the sun lowers and the tourist boats leave the harbour, the little village on the island becomes a peace-haven. The only sound is a flute that is being played by a monk somewhere inside one of the temples there, while the old pagodas and shrines are illuminated by a dim light. If you visit Japan - go and stay the night!
This image is from the so called 'snow monkey park' in Japan. Not to be mistaken with a zoo - this is an open area somewhere in the middle of nowhere where monkeys come down from the mountain to bath in a hot spring.
The little guys are all around you - they dont care much for people walking around, though every now and again they wanna steal your stuff! There is security present during all times, but one of these cheeky little buggers wanted to get into my backpack regardless. He failed, but I then followed it around until I took this picture, hehe. I like to think he is thinking about his mistake!
What a cool building - the Tokyo International Forum. If you have a wide angle lens, then this is the place you wanna visit when you are in Tokyo.
On a side note - I thought for a building that size there would be some sort of reception where you would have to sign in... but you can literally just walk in! It was also totally empty - this forum has around 4 floors that are all connected by little bridges (I'll add more images later) - a dream for a photographer!
