Shadows Of Venice
The first time I visited Venice several years ago was during the off-season - this time, I went mid-summer to see the other side of it. Visiting in summer is definitely more fun as there are more things to do - but the downside is the lava-like temperature. Thank heavens for all those little alleys and passages - they stay cool, offer shade, and give the most fun to discover anyway. Once you reach the end of such a small alley, you end up in the scorching heat again - as this gentleman in the picture is about to experience.
