Nature and Landscapes
Urban and City
Ireland has many places that are worth seeing - unfortunately I am not the only one that wishes to see them. This area here is called the dark hedges and has starred in series such as Game of Thrones, but it is so busy that it is virtually impossible to get a photo without people in it. Well, I guess I could go when the weather is bad or late evening, but as I was just traveling through I did not have this option. In any case, I decided to embrace the tourists and just include them in the image. The family in the foreground seemed to give a nice composition, hehe.
While I was walking through Manhattan a while ago, I was so lost between the buildings! The one thing that I find so very unusual, is hat you can not see really the sky. The buildings become a permanent wall as you pass from one street in the next - quite the experience! For me anyway, in Dublin we have no skyline, hehe.
You know how a sunset usually works - sun is high, gets lower, reaches the horizon, disappears - and somewhere in between, there might be some nice colours in the clouds. BUT, the change in colours usually happens relatively gradually. Well, in this case, it didn't. In one moment, the sky was blue and dull, and within 10 seconds (I am not making this up!) everything went purple. It was like someone had changed a setting on a massive mood-light somewhere and switched it to "Oh Yeah".
