There isn't really much to say about this one - I was just waiting at the traffic light and saw this absolutely fantastic lady. Everything was just right, her expression, the contrast of her clothes to the wall, the pedestrian crossing, the odd movement she is doing with her hand... Brilliant! I took the picture while she was staring at me - she nodded, the light went green, and she went on. -Phill
Within the hearth of New York, there is a great little walk along the High Line Park. I have posted some pictures before - but of you follow the trail to its end, you will reach a point at which you have great views of the skyline and the sunset (around December). This image here is one of the many I took during my evening in this area - the sky was golden for a looong time before it slowly turned into a crazy purple. -Phillip
Itsukushima, also known as Miyajima, has been the single most beautiful place I have seen to date. Sitting just off the coast to Hiroshima, the place is an absolute tourist attraction - granted - but once the sun lowers and the tourist boats leave the harbour, the little village on the island becomes a peace-haven. The only sound is a flute that is being played by a monk somewhere inside one of the temples there, while the old pagodas and shrines are illuminated by a dim light. If you visit Japan - go and stay the night! Phillip
