Karnak Constructions

The Karnak Temple in Egypt is, for lack of a better word, humongous. This picture was shot with a 10 mm lens, meaning it's really wide - but even then I did not manage to get the full pillars here into the frame. But damn, just look at those carvings. Some of the wall paintings you can find in Egyptian temples date back thousands of years and the colors are still as vibrant as the day they were painted on - it's stunning.
The day I took this image was hot - like 38 degrees C hot. The sun was burning so hard that we literally moved from one shadow to another, pillar by pillar, stone by stone. The sweat was worth the experience though!
